Hi, I’m Amy.
I am a licensed clinical social worker, specializing in individual and group work with children and their families. I have extensive training in child/adolescent psychotherapy and parent coaching, as well as common developmental challenges (picky eating, toilet training, sleep training). I am particularly interested in working with children and families impacted by neurodivergence and trauma.
I am a children's book author, and have a blog for parents. I am also part of a YouTube Channel - The Playful Therapists of Speak, Learn, & Play.
What makes me the right person to help you? I understand the inner world of children with neurodivergence and trauma, and I can help you to understand it, too. When you get underneath your child's behavior, you will know which tools and strategies to use and you will feel greater confidence in your parenting. These strategies are grounded in the latest neuroscience - moving away from sticker charts and rewards and into a more connected relationship.
